The leadership team at CGCC is a vibrant, diverse group of people who are all trying to equip our students to lead the world into a prosperous and sustainable future. President Dr. Greg Peterson began his own higher education at a community college, and he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise throughout his long and successful academic and administrative career.
CGCC was established in 1985 to meet the Southeast Valley's higher education needs. The North Central Association's Higher Learning Commission approved CGCC as an independent institution in 1992. Chandler-Gilbert Community College is now one of the Maricopa Community College system's fastest-growing colleges, with four locations and an annual enrollment of 19,000 students.

With the Aviation program, you may start working toward a fascinating career in the aviation business. Whether you want to be an aviation pilot, a flight teacher, an unmanned aircraft operator, or work in specialized airline operations, this hands-on program will teach you the skills you need to succeed.
The Aviation program provides a comprehensive curriculum that will excite, challenge, and prepare students for the FAA written and practical tests. The program includes flying labs as well as ground training, and it covers aviation pilot instruction for private and commercial single- and multi-engine aircraft, instrumentation, flight instructor certificates, and airline operation procedures.
