eServices allows you to enroll in classes online. You will be given an enrollment appointment date and time, which is the earliest possible date and time for you to register for classes. Your enrollment appointment time can be found in eServices.
During the enrollment period, online registration is available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Whether you want to earn a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher certificate, prepare for success at the FAA's Air Traffic Controller Academy, pass your FAA Aeronautical Knowledge exams for Private, Instrument, Remote, and Commercial Pilot and Instructor ratings, or simply want a well-rounded education before embarking on a professional aviation career, the Aviation Department is here to help.
All Flight Technology and Air Traffic Control / Aircraft Dispatcher courses will resume in face-to-face classroom settings at the Davis Center beginning in the Fall 2021 term. There will be no online course offerings in the summer, fall, or spring of 2021 or 2022.
All aviation programs use learning cohorts that participate in a series of short (4-week) intense sessions. To obtain course permission numbers for the Fall 2021 learning cohort, you must first:
Have already completed the prerequisite course, FLTEC 320 Private Pilot Ground (see below) or FLTEC 300 Introduction to Aviation, OR Have an FAA Airman Certificate with at least a PPL Airplane or Rotorcraft rating, or an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate, or fulfill the requirements of 14 CFR 65.57. (a)
Individuals seeking continuing education who meet the criteria outlined in #2 above may be eligible to obtain permission numbers 1 or 2 in August for particular Fall classes.
FLTEC 320 is a required course before enrolling in a cohort.
Registration for FLTEC 320 in the Fall semester does not require a permission number.
We will have one face-to-face portion at the Davis Center.
To take FLTEC 320, you do not need to attend the information session.
You will be able to join the Fall 2022 learning cohort if you successfully complete this course.

Air Traffic Controllers and Remote Pilot Operators (RPOs) can find work with the Federal Aviation Administration's National Air Traffic Control system, various contract facilities across the country, and the military overseas.

All major and small airlines employ aircraft dispatchers around the world. Their services are used by several jet charter and helicopter air ambulance providers, as well as government agencies and the military.
Technology of Flight
Charter Pilots, Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Agricultural Pilots, Helicopter Pilots, Flight Engineers, Regional Airline/Major Airline Pilots, and Military Pilots are all examples of professional pilots.
