Are you a stickler for details? Do you enjoy figuring out how machines work? A job in Aviation Maintenance may be just what you're looking for. It is a huge duty to keep airplanes in safe flying condition.
Our hangar is located on the outskirts of Helena Regional Airport, and our instructors deliver great, meaningful education both hands-on and in the classroom. Students who successfully complete the program are prepared and qualified to take the Federal Aviation Administration's examinations to get an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license. A technician with this training will be prepared for a variety of jobs in the aviation business, including fixed base operations, repair stations, commuter airlines, air cargo, aircraft restoration, flying schools, and aerial firefighting, to mention a few.
Complete the program and start working as an aviation maintenance technician straight away, or utilize your degree as a stepping stone to a career in aerospace engineering.
The Aviation Maintenance Technology program teaches students the fundamental skills required of all mechanics as well as the specialized requirements of aircraft maintenance. Completing the curriculum satisfactorily prepares and qualifies students for the Federal Aviation Administration examinations required to get an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license. Completing the curriculum will also provide the student with the essential career skills to find work in the aerospace sector. The FAA has approved and licensed the Aviation Maintenance Technology program, which takes five semesters to complete.
