The expanding aircraft industry necessitates the need of highly qualified maintenance professionals. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Veterans Administration have authorized Greenville Technical College's Aircraft Maintenance Technology curriculum, which provides students with the technical, mechanical, and academic abilities required to become aircraft maintenance technicians.
A large inventory of well-maintained jet and reciprocating engine aircraft, as well as accompanying equipment, allows our students to develop the skills needed to thrive in a highly competitive business.
The job placement rate and starting salary are both excellent. Graduates are eligible to take the FAA Airframe and Powerplant Technician Certification examinations, and our students routinely achieve good marks in addition to the increased wages that this credential entitles them to.
Opportunities for Employment
Many students who are already employed with firms such as Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Stevens Aviation, General Electric, Greenville-Spartanburg Airport, and Michelin find that this curriculum can help them further their careers.
