The Pacific Northwest has a long history of aviation, which is still growing today. Qualified airplane maintenance professionals are in high demand - and it's just getting worse.
Basic abilities in aircraft structures, systems, troubleshooting, regulations, teamwork, and personal accountability are sought by employers. These are the fundamentals of our AMT program, which is taught at our state-of-the-art South Hill Campus by award-winning professors. Our AMT students have some of the highest FAA certification pass rates in the country.

Our Aviation Maintenance Technician Program can help you get ready for a rewarding career in aircraft maintenance. You'll learn how to work on a variety of private and commercial aircraft of various types and sizes.
Associate of Applied Technology Degree / Associate in Applied Science - T Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technician
This FAA-approved program is designed to prepare students for entry-level aviation maintenance careers. Graduates will be able to obtain airframe and powerplant licenses from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aviation maintenance professionals are trained to service and repair all types and sizes of private and commercial aircraft, as well as their propulsion systems, including airplanes and helicopters. Aircraft and component manufacture are two related fields. After completing the needed technical credits, students are eligible for FAA certification.
Jobs with large and regional airlines, aircraft and rotorcraft repair and maintenance facilities, airline and corporate jet refurbishment repair stations, and aircraft and component manufacturing could be available in the future.
The South Hill Campus in Puyallup offers classes.
Prior to graduation, students pursuing an AAT or AAS-T degree must fulfill all college degree requirements. Courses that satisfy the capstone project, diversity, and computer literacy criteria are included.
Graduates must pass certification exams administered by the Federal Aviation Administration and meet reading criteria.
This curriculum lasts about eight quarters, depending on how much time students need to complete all of their graduation requirements.
