Overview
The Aviation Maintenance Technology program teaches students how to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft components and systems in order to maintain aircraft flying safely and effectively.
Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are prepared to take the FAA licensing exams for Airframe mechanic and Powerplant mechanic. The curriculum covers every system of today's aircraft.

The need for aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and technicians is expected to remain stable until 2022. Mechanics with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate will have the highest job possibilities.

Overview
The Aviation Mechanics Airframe Certificate entails studying aircraft structures as well as hydraulic, electrical, and landing gear systems. Aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, and repair are all lab experiences.
Students may take Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensure tests after successfully completing the Airframe Certificate prerequisites. Certification criteria are subject to current FAA rules, which are subject to change without notice.

Individuals interested in sophisticated aviation electronics can benefit from the Avionics Certificate. Graduates can troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems on the flight line, including onboard computers, automated pilot, instrument navigation and communication equipment, and powerplant electronic control systems.
Overview
The Aviation Mechanics Powerplant Certificate covers all sorts of aircraft engines (small and big piston, as well as jet), as well as engine systems and propellers. Inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft engines are examples of lab experiences.
