Founded in 1971 as Black River Vocational Technical Institution, the school is a public, two-year college with an open admissions policy dedicated to satisfying the inhabitants of Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri's technical, intellectual, professional, cultural, and personal enrichment needs. Black River Technical College was renamed in 1991 and is controlled by a board of trustees.
Black River Technical College enrolls roughly 2,500 students each year.
BRTC faculty members are dedicated to their many disciplines and programs, as well as to their students' intellectual, technical, and professional development. Students can have a constructive learning relationship with their teachers because of the normally low student-faculty ratio.
It can be difficult to plan for your education beyond high school. We urge you to consider our high-quality academics, low-cost tuition, and student support services as we assist you in advancing your career.
